Shared on:I used a little bit of video editing magic to show what the MG42 scenes in CoD WW2 would feel like if the gun sound in this game was better. This was achieved by taking the MG42 sound from Call of Duty 2 (2005) and Far Cry 4 (2014) and blending them together over footage of the half-track shootout in the mission 'Stronghold' in the French town of Marigny.It's almost unbelievable that the MG42 sound in CoD 2 and even CoD 1 (2003) were more authentic than they are in the latest game.I understand multiplayer balancing, but making all of the guns feel like.22 calibre toys in the singleplayer campaign is a massive shame. Hopefully they can patch the gun sounds for the campaign at some point to give a more engaging and authentic feel for people playing the campaign in future!
