I run a marshall plexi and a carvin x100b through the palmer into a behringer tube ultrafex (to warm it up just a bit), into my alesis multimix firewire mixer. The filter circuit in this thing sounds fantastic.i almost feel bad for using this b/c its really easy to get an amazing sound out of it!!its great for recording or for live use. It sure is easier live to plug this into the snake than to worry about a microphone getting knocked over on stage.
This unit allows more of your amp to be heard rather than a microphone pickup up a speaker, and being played through another house PA speaker. This is a great unit if you can find one.

It has an amazing mic'd cab sound and is pretty flexible in terms of versatility. It has different cab voices. A mellow, normal and bright swich as well as a deep normal flat cab switch. You can direct record any amp at 3 am, or you can mic a cab and use the palmer and mix the two afterwards.this is how great this thing sounds, joe satriani doesn't even use a speaker cab to record with anymore, its just this palmer doing all the work.Other dudes have used this thing too.
