Page Tools.Regenerators (and their Iron Maiden counterparts) are generally known as the best enemy in RE4, for good reason. They're not the easiest to kill and their design is a bit creepy, along with the music that accompanies them, and the breathing noise they make.As the name implies, this is a monster that regenerates its flesh and full on body parts. They either take a ton of damage to kill or you have to hit them in the right spots-where the parasites are (which you need the infrared scope for). They can even lose their head and grow it back.
Regenerators, on Normal mode, only have the parasites on the front of them, but on Professional, they also have one on their back.Iron Maidens are very similar to Regenerators except that they always have a parasite on their back, and they have spikes protruding from their bodies (as seen above). A good way to get that last parasite, whether it's a Regenerator or Iron Maiden, is to take out one of their legs and then quickly shoot the parasite.

These fearsome, highly developed species are the latest creations of the Los Illuminados experiments. Their superior metabolism is capable of regenerating lost body parts within seconds. Fortunately, the speed in which the monsters can move is far from satisfactory fro the cult. This is due to a lack of communication between the individual Plagas that control their host from various spots on its body. Like chameleons, the parasites adapt to the Regenerator's skin and only become visible with infrared view.
