Skyrim Special Edition Mortal Enemies

  1. Mortal Enemies Se 2.0
  2. Skyrim Combat Mods

Dread's SSE Packslink:These packs are Skyrim Special Edition ( SSE) successors to my STEP packs for Skyrim. Since we do not have a script extender for SSE, many mods that I have used in my previous packs are missing. Some of the packs are much more basic for this reason. They are still of use for those who don't want to or don't know how to do their own conflict resolution. With these packs you get exactly what a pack is; an extension of STEP that adds upon STEP and patches all included mods.Since we won't have STEP Special Edition for quite some time, this guide uses Tech's Skyrim Special Edition Guide as a base. Tech's Skyrim Special Edition Guide is not the official STEP Special Edition guide which means that these are not proper STEP Special Edition Packs. Really great, man!

Thanks for this!Q: Is your game really balanced using High Level Enemies? I never finished Skyrim because of increasing easiness of vanilla game.

Mortal Enemies Se 2.0

Then I tried to balance it with this mod but finally experienced the reverse: far too hard on higher levels, especially so frequent one-hit shots. I read many comments on this confirming that fact. I also play with Duel Combat Realism which is really awesome. But I doubt on HLE real balance on high levels.

What's your opinion? I'm actually planning to replace it with mods like Combat Evolved and Ultimate Combat or counter-balance it with Mortal Enemies since I'm tired of 'stealth' arrows between other. HLE have been in my packs for a long time and have been recommended by other people who have helped me with balancing the game. I almost never reach that high levels, so my personal opinions on HLE are somewhat vague. I know it has high level enemies that I don't like, like high level mudcrabs and rats.

The game needs rebalancing at higher levels and if HLE don't do it well, I'm open to suggestions. The pack used Smilodon, using Combat Evolved probably doesn't make much sense since they overlap. Both mods are individually balanced without the other. The same thing can be said about Duel.

I think you should add Ultimate Combat if it doesn't overlap, since it adds an option to be immune to killmove which are extremely common in HLE at whatever level and can be very frustrating (I definitely can't bear being killed like that when I still have 20 health potions!). An alternative is TK Dodge which really helps in close combat at higher levels as well as seems Mortal ennemies (I didn't try that one).

Skyrim Combat Mods

Still needs a 'fix' or counterpart about storm mages which seem absolutely deadly in HLE on higher levels (read this on the forum). I've no idea on this yet and I haven't neither about deadly stealth arrows, very common too. I remember a 3 vs 3 fight that lasted more than half an hour and ended with a one-shot arrow I hadn't see coming. I was around level 50 or so.Please note that I haven't checked if these mods are available for SSE. As far as I'm concerned I really don't know what mod to use for after level 30/35. I'm actively looking for a solution and haven't really found yet. For now, I may stick to HLE but cap (with the uncapper) my max level to around 60 - theorically - not to face too many OP enemies.

This means modifying perk rewards also. And would deny some features such as the 80 EW (to avoid a potential spoiler).Or maybe use Wildcat with HLE since you can dynamically modify damage taken/done modifiers.

This may help about one-shot hits. But this means no Smilodon.Edit: Mortal Enemies seems to exist for SSE and there's a patch for Smilodon:Edited by Cyklope78, 24 July 2017 - 07:36 AM. Nice packs Dread all this mods i would likely use these if I was playing SSE minus Hunterborn personally I it grows annoying over time Unless I am roleplaying a hunter.Thanks. I can understand you regarding Hunterborn. If you don't want to play a hunter, it can be tedious, good thing it's completely optional The good thing about it is that it limits your food sources.

If you want meat from the animal you killed, you need to spend time preparing the animal and cutting out the meat (I'm a vegetarian irl though ). This increase hunger, thirst, fatigue and possibly makes you freeze depending on the climate. You need to do decide if it's worth it to prepare the animal. Absolutely not for everyone but a solid and well made mod. Thank you for making the packs. I have never played as a vampire and am just curious why you chose Sacrosanct over Better Vampires.

Have you tried better Vampire Npcs yet (it is the same author as Better Vampires). Would it be worth your time to make two vampire packs to give people the freedom of choice?Edit.

I just noticed you replied to the first part of my post in Techs forum.I use a lot of mods by Enai in this pack, this is probably the biggest reason for choosing Sacrosanct over bv. All his mods fit very well together and Sacrosanct is the more appealing of the two vampire mods. I haven't done any big in-game comparisons between the two, but I have used both. Both mods are great. Most mods in the pack are conflict free and all mods in the pack are optional.

Special

Switching out Sacrosanct in favour of Better Vampires shouldn't cause any problems, if you'd like to do that.I saw your post in Tech's thread, but I wanted to create this thread first before I answered. It's better to discuss my packs here and keep Tech's thread for discussions about his guide. Will you add a follower's mod like AFT or something? It definitely helps with HLE. Enemies change of target and face stronger opposition quicker (I don't think dogs are good opponents to say the least - merely sparring partners). And about my experience, I've been playing HLE since very very long with Duel Combat, up to level 50/60.

I know that around level 40 it starts becoming tough, no matter what perks you have. Yeah, ok I admit I usually play expert, not adept. At other levels, you feel the extra difficulty from the very beginning so, except if you're masochistic and like having to spend half an hour to kill a mere bandit after having died five times, you usually lower the difficulty.

And quicklyMy best experience was with SkyRe which kept me hooked up to level 85, point where it became a bit too easy. But I know it's out of the scope and I personally prefer to stick to vanilla today, so that's fine with me.
